Need advice for new computers graphics card XFX Radeon HD 5570

Hey whats up guys, I ordered a CyberPower pc Gamer Ultra A106 (Link below) and suprisingly, it looked like it was a good system. Unfortunately, looking into reviews it IS a good system but just needs a new graphics card, because integrated graphics cards are weak. So, I found one video card for a decent price, and I just need further advice...I wanna be sure

One more thing...I was told you weren't able to upgrade this because the graphics card is already in there, but its integrated...all I would need to do is disable it and install the new card, right?

If you're upgrading, you should move up higher than the 5570.
I have a 5770, and I think I need something better still.

What does it have in it for a power supply (make and model)? Also what is your budget for a video card? As lhorwinkle said the 5570 isn't the greatest. It will be better than the onboard video, but will have major problems with most new games.

Correct. You just go into the bios after installing the card and disable the onboard video, that is if it doesn't auto disable when the bios detects the video card. The actual steps would be,

1. Uninstall the driver for the current card (card or onboard).

2. Shutdown and install the new card.

3. Restart and enter the bios and disable the onboard video.

4. Save and restart normally.

5. Let Windows load and install its default driver.

6. Install the latest driver for the new card, don't use the disk that came with the card as the driver on it is usually rather old compared to what can be downloaded.

It seems difficult to find the exact specs for the Cyberpower GUA106 online, but it seems to have a PCI-E X16 slot, so you should be able to use most current graphics cards.

It may also have a 500W power supply, so it will handle most graphics cards. (The 300W monsters cost more than the complete GUA106.)

I'm not sure which graphics card is a good match to a budget PC. The 6770 (basically a re-labelled 5570) is a much better card than the 5570, but it costs more:

I had another idea, I have the XFX GeForce 8800GS Alpha Dog Edition from an old computer. It ran really well and I was wondering if it would work.

Since you bought a "super gamer" computer I assume you're upgrading the graphics card for gaming purposes.

Your old computer's 8800GS card performs at about the same level as the HD 5570 that you mentioned earlier.

Neither one is especially good.
Pick something better.

8800 gpus are over 4 years old, so current games would only play at medium to low spec.

The 5570 is also dated, I'd suggest a budget of £150+ for a new gpu (convert it to $ lol) 6950 2gb get my vote but will be around £200)
