Recommended resolution issue Having just changed my monitor from a 20" to a 24", I now find that whenever I log into windows, the resolution opens with 1920x1080 when it should be 1920x 1200 (recommended). Everytime I change it and save it, upon a restart it reverts back to 1920x1080.
At the moment the graphics card says that it should be able to handle the recommended resolution. Any ideas as to whats going on. I have the latest drivers for the card installed by the way.

If you got a driver CD for the 24" monitor, or try to download the monitor drivers from the manufacturer's site, install this driver in windows and this should solve your problem. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Toshiba Satellite P775-S7232 OS MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 CPU i5-2410M 2.3GHz (2.9GHz Turbo-Boost) Sandy Bridge 32nm Motherboard Toshiba PHRAA ver. Hi folks, seems I've solved the problem.
Its to do with the MS Live Mesh driver.
Now I've uninstalled it, everything is working as it should, remembering the recommended resolution. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Qmicra II Custom build OS Windoze Se7en Profesional x64 CPU i7 920 Motherboard Asus Rampage II Gene Memory Corsair 3x2gb xms3 TR3X6G1333C9 Graphics Card Gigabyte radeon 4870 1Gb Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24" U2412M Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Keyboard Logitech diNovo Edge Mouse Logitech Performance MX PSU Be Quiet Dark Power Pro Modular 750w Case Qmicra Qv2E matx Cooling Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 + Noctua NF-S12's Hard Drives 4 Samsung Spinpoint F3 1Tb Internet Speed 16Mb LLU Other Info Scythe Kaze Master Ace Fan Controller |
