Hello everyone;

I'm having an akward issue with a BSOD during gaming that has never happened before.. This is during battlefield 3.. I built my comp specifically to be able to play games like BF3 and it works great... however.... after ive been playing for like... 3 or 4 hours strait.... all of a sudden the speakers have a loud buzz noise and BSOD then restart.... after i restart i get back in the game and everything is fine...? im not sure why this is happening, never happened before, my rig is more than capable...

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ955FBGIBOX (overclocked to 3.6GHz)
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
Zalmans Fan Heatsink (temperatures never go above 50 degrees C)

the only things ive changed are bumping my processor to 3.6GHz, and the ram when i put it in the Mobo defaulted to 1333, but it was clearly stock for 1600, so i bumped that up to 1600...... the channel is T2 not T1 because i have 4 2gb sticks spread over 2 different mobo channels...

anyone got any ideas? thanks again i love these forums, they are great!

If you are experiencing BSOD's we do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

try it without the overclock. or simply run prime 95 for 3-4 hours, if the same occurs then its an oc issue. but like JMH suggested that will tell us more
