MSI R6770 an upgrade fro 9600gt?

I had 9600gt Green before and I bought MSI R6770 1 GB DDR5 as an upgrade, I use this for media purposes and medium/low end end gaming rig for games like Witcher 2, DA 3, CoD MW 2/(upcoming 3), upcoming Arkham City, Skyrim, NFS Carbon etc etc. Any opinions guys? My setup can handle the card, and is the card worthwhile upgrade. Opinions, discussions welcome, really welcome :).

Yes it is, probably close to twice as fast in most things. Also don't forget that the Green edition was also slower than the standard 9600 GT. This should help,

The HD 6770 is identical spec-wise (with a couple of updated features) as the HD 5770, and the above has both the 5770 and GT 9600 in it.

BTW, it's a bit slower than the HD 5770 cuz the HD 5770 has 850 gpu clock and 1200 memory clock. So IMO, i would try to overclock it to those speed.

Depends on who made it imeem, the reference spec for core and memory speed (850/2400) is the same for both,

just that for whatever reason some of the card makers have put out a few models that are less (found a Gigabyte that is clocked at 800/2000). No idea why. Factory overclocked is another story.

any final words guys? I am selling one HDD (the 320 gb one) to reduce power consumption and heat factor.

PS. I think 6770 consumes less power than 5770 (especially this MSI model), is it correct?
