    Not under warranty anymore.

I don't play games a lot (only Football manager 2k9 & team fortress 2) but I want a card that will accept most new games (such as Diablo, Aion) I'm thinking about those 2 models so far :
    Radeon HD4850 512Mo
    Radeon HD4870 1Go

I want something similar (better would be nice) than my actual dead VC (880 GTS 320mb).

Thanks for the help & I will keep you update once I get my new VC.

obviously the 4870 would be the better card - faster, with more memory...

the 4850 wins on price and power requirements.

    enjoy your new card!

Me again with I hope my last post on this topic.

I've bought a sapphire radeon 4870 vapor-X 1GB and i've just installed it. (I love the silence. I even wonder if the video card is on ^^) Windows7 installed the driver automaticly and so far it seems to work with no graphic bugs. (i'll test on games later this week)

Thanks to Mickey megabyte & TGSoldier for the help even if it wasn't windows7 related

    Same problem.

I had this exact same problem after installing the Nvidia 190 driver for my Asus Nvidia 8600 GTS in SLI. My main video card seems to have died, but I had the exact same system and graphical errors as the original poster. I have since removed my main video card after numerous attemps at re-installing and recovering and replaced it with my secondary in single mode and have no installed any graphic driver at all. This seems to be working fine. Windows 7 + Nvidia driver = killing video cards?
