AMD VCC LCD overdrive help

i know alot of people say it isnt worth it, but alot of people for a long time said that 120htz monitors arent noticeable so i just want to see for my self and make my own decision on whether or not i like it. when open VCC and go to Displays/DigitalFlatPanels/LCD Overdrive, everything is grayed out... any ideas? everything else works, its just this, you can see it, but the text and borders are gray, at one point it worked for a breif period and said "cannot load test image" or somthing along those lines. is there mabey a 3d party driver i need to do this?

As I understand it you're not missing anything. From the LCD Overdrive help file,

Quote:
Use LCD Overdrive to improve the quality of video displayed on displays that are built into your computer. LCD Overdrive compensates for monitor response time or latency when displaying video using overlays. A slow response time can create a streaking effect that can occur on moving images displayed on a slower than optimal monitor. LCD Overdrive minimizes this problem.

LCD Overdrive enables a pixel to change from shade to shade more quickly by either boosting or decreasing the luminosity of the requested pixel value and applying the modified value to the pixel. This decreases the difference between the before and after pixel values and the amount of time required for the pixel to change state. You can immediately see the results produced by your LCD Overdrive settings in the Calibration Preview window. Too much or too little response time compensation will degrade the picture quality.

Optimal video is displayed on a monitor whose pixel response time is less than 16 milliseconds.
Only really has an affect if your monitor(s) have greater than 16 ms response time. Also as far as I know it isn't available in a multi monitor set up.
