    Annoying problem with G41 Chipset

This is baffling to me. I'm not very "GOOD" with computers but I'm usually able to fix errors.

Randomly my display adapter will completely mess up and I will not be able to view videos on my computer. I will get error code C00D11B1.

I know it's my display adapter because when I disable it and then re-enable it sometimes it will let me view videos again.

Also, when I'm on Skype. Instead of the blue-ish / black background on calls, the entire background will be gray.

One more thing, I have an HD-PVR which for those who don't know is an HD Capture device that I use for my PS3. When this happens, if I try to open the capture device software, I can't see the video on there either.

    Some notes..

    1. I have tried to update my display driver to the absolute newest possible they have and the problem will still happen randomly.

    2. Disabling and re-enabling the adapter works SOMETIMES. Other times, it won't even re-enable and the screen will stay huge and I have to restart.

    3. Restarting my computer ALWAYS fixes the problem. But then after a few hours it happens again.

Somebody please help me lol. It's so annoying..

Filling out your system spec would be a big help.....meanwhile check for overheating....fans running, no clogged heatsinks....

It's a bit tricky to find out coz it can be related to software or hardware both.. meanwhile let us know the specs and check for heating issue just like Ivan said above.

I did my best on filling out all the specs I could. I'm just not sure what type of motherboard I have. I probably listed it in the specs without even realizing it. Like I said, I can fix basic errors and stuff but when it comes down to the technical issues and stuff, I have no idea what I'm doing lol.

But why does my HD PVR not show the video preview when I turn it on during this error?

Also when I'm on Skype the window turns completely gray. That makes me feel like it's the display adapter.

Like I said, I can disable and then re-enable it and everything will work (sometimes).

Other time I won't be able to enable it again and I'll have to restart which will fix everything as well.

It would probably help us more if we knew the motherboard info.
