| | New Hardware Detected After Updating Video Driver Just curious, Why ?? A video driver is software. I get a yellow exclimation point in the Windows Performace tab saying I need to run WEI again. |

| | Although an updated driver is software it may improve the graphics performance, which in turn may give you a higher WEI score. As far as Windows is concerned your hardware has been updated and for that reason will prompt you to update your Windows Experience Index. |

| | The WEI tests the driver just as much as it tests the hardware. So if you change a driver on a major hardware component, the WEI score could change radically, so if you want the "correct" score you have to rerun it after some driver updates. [Too slow  ] |

| | It does sound strange, but this happens after upgrading the graphics driver on Vista, Windows 7 and also Windows 8. I think that it would be better if it said New Hardware and/or Driver Detected as this would cover both driver and card upgrades. |
