Best Graphic Card for Older System

I want to upgrade my GF daughters PC, she has a Dell Optiplex GX260 and I know the Graphis card will not support Aeros so I want to buy a new graphic card for it and it has to work with windows7, can some one tell me a good card to put in to it.

    hi Bander,

GF daughter? that would be your aunt or your mother, right?

    But seriously.

    Optiplex GX620 = AGP

XFX GF6200A (Nvidia) is directx9 card and gets good reviews,
and is cheap. In the Netherlands 47 euro, don't know global price.

    specs:

    AGP 8x

    chip
    Type GeForce 6200 A
    Speed 350 MHz
    Pixel-Pipelines 4
    Vertex-Shader 3
    Shader Model 3.0
    DirectX Version 9
    OpenGL Version 2

    Memory
    Capacity 256 MB dedicated
    Type GDDR2
    speed 533 MHz
    Interface 128 bit

    RAMDAC
    1. RAMDAC 400 MHz
    2. RAMDAC 400 MHz

    1 x DVI-I + HDCP
    1 x VGA
    1 x S-Video

Win7 driver 190.38 is available on NVidia

    good luck

squonksc, GF means girlfriend and if you did know then that was funny, but I don't think that one will work because it has a AGP 2X.

From memory, AGP x8 cards will still run on AGPx2 slots - at x2 bandwidth, obviously

Sorry man, was just a joke.

GF = girlfriend, didn't think of that one, language barrier. I try hard though.

And I tried to be of service to you. Have overlooked the 2x barrier.

    Again sorry,

    no harm intended.
