Does Nvidia GeForce FX5500 work with Win7?

I am planning on finally upgrading to Windows 7, but i want to make sure my graphics card works. It is a nvidia fx5500, and i heard that there were problems with it giving BSOD and such.

Can i just use windows update stuff to download the drivers and then it works, or do i have to download the vista drivers and then install them in compatibility mode, or will it give me a BSOD?

I want to use it to run stuff like Minecraft and WoW.

Win 7 isn't listed here when looking for a driver using Option 1 for the FX 5000 series.> Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers
Select GeForce in first drop widow then Geforce 5 FX series in second drop window.
Third drop window is OS list.

A Vista driver in compatability mode may work. No guarantee.

The FX5500 does event have the required performance to run those games, get a newer card.

Get an HD 5570, you can run any games with it, and anyways why dont try playing Dota 2? You can create a Steam account and do the surveys and in one week, you'll get your Dota 2 for free

I remember I had an FX5500 back in 2010, It will work with windows 7 and with the right driver (Vista) you even get windows Aero!

But as for the games, I don't think it can run them very well, especially with the load windows 7 puts on the card.
