| | Automatically change from extended to single display I have a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit with an HP 2311x monitor attached via HDMI as a second extended display. I don't always use the 2nd monitor, and like to turn it off to not waste electricity. Is there a way to have the computer recognize that the monitor is off and switch to single display mode automatically, and then automatically change to dual display mode when the monitor turns back on? I saw an add for a Samsung monitor that claims to do this, but with an HDMI cable, it seems it should be possible with the right software. Thanks! |
