I really need a cheap monitor that can support DVI then, because I highly doubt mine can.

Monitor screenshots in attachements.

You only need a new monitor if you're unhappy with your current one, or want a better one. All you need with that monitor is one of these,

Novatech DVI-A - VGA Adapter | CDL-DV001

which as I said you should have got with the computer, seeing as one actually came with the video card. If you didn't get it, contact Novatech and ask them where it is. That or just pick one up. Can probably find one even cheaper than that if you have a computer shop nearby.

Right now, I am really confused.

With this:
StarTech.com 1.8 m DVI cable 18 pin digital DVI (Single-Link) - male

and/or this:
Novatech DVI-A - VGA Adapter | CDL-DV001

How will I be able to set it up, can someone please explain step by step.?

You cannot use the DVI cable as your monitor doesn't have a DVI port. What it has is a VGA port on it so you need the adapter and you use it with the current VGA cable that you are using.

So it will cost 5 max to get this hopefully working?

Not bad

So I plug the Novatech Adapter in, then plug the wire I have been using the whole time into the Computer and the adapter in the monitor?

Yes. Just don't be surprised if it doesn't work at first. Reason is that only ONE of the DVI ports on the card supports VGA via adapter. If the card isn't marked then you will have to guess which it is, so just hook it up and if you still get no signal just switch it to the other DVI port on the card.

It doesn't look like you need a new cable.

You need the adapter.

Plug your existing cable into one side of the adapter---the blue side (female).

Then plug the other side of the cable/adapter combination into the red connector on the video card.

Ah sweet, so basically what your saying is if it doesn't work in one red port plug it in the other red port?
