Get the 550Ti, it will require at least a PSU of 400W

They won't run hot unless you have really a bad airflow in your case. :)

i don't know, my 260GTX had 2 PCI-E pins and ran hot, and lasted 3 years this month, i've just got a 560Ti and that requires the same 2 PCI-E pin connectors and uses half power and runs half as hot.

I'd recommend you 550Ti. Though, 460 is a bit higher than 550 but Ti edition is not that bad. I myself currently having 550ti asus, i think its a top notch for such PSU class

4** series was always "loud and hot"
The need for 2xpci power connectors is just the standard form factor for most cards. Well some newer 5** cards need a 6 and a 4 pin, but consumption is minimal.

I never heard of the GTX400 series being 'loud and hot' unless having a malfunctioning fan.
My GTX460 is quiet and has an idle temperature of around 42C. :)

Lol that's not me talking from experience its just I remember when the 5** range appeared, my favourite magazine kept mentioning how quiet and cool they ran in comparison lol. I've not had an Nvidia card since my 8800gtx! That sounded like a vacuum cleaner lol
