    Samsung SyncMaster 943NWX monitor problems

    Hi to all!

I really hope that you can help me. I installed Windows 7 RC and after install my monitor resolution is set to 800x600. If I try to raise it, I get just one more option and when selecting it, I get a black vertical bar on the right of the monitor with still very bad resolution.

My Display Adapter is listed as Intel (R) 82865 G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation XDDM)

    and my Monitor is: SyncMaster 943 NW/943 NWX/ NW 1943/NWX 1943.

I hope you can help me find a solution to this problem.

    Regards,

    Thanks

    Thanks visy199:

I already have the latest driver for both my video adapter and monitor, however I get that problem after installing windows 7.

It seems that my video adapter and monitor are getting old now .

    Thanks

What version of Windows 7 you use 32bit or 64 bit?

    Hi visy199:

No, after three frustrating days and nights trying to solve this problem I opted for restoring my vista installation and waiting until I get a new pci video adapter card.

    Thanks anyway!

Yes, it works fine, not a single problem. That's why I was stumped. I did an upgrade installation over my vista installation and my problems started. Luckily I had a backup of my previous installation and was able to restore it 100%. After doing it, my resolution returned to normal.
