wouldnt go jumping the gun just yet. Chances are the first releases of the 7000 family will just be rebrands of the 6000 series.

It actually is a remake card but each with more stream processors and more abilities

These cards are going to be competing with the gtx 590 -580-570- line what ever Nvidia's top card the HD7970 is suposed to out perform it

I am kinda interested in uping my card but thinking maybe cross fire ,I not trying to have a GPU graveyard at my house

I can't recall the ATI rebrands off hand. Which models were rebranded?
I know the Nvidia 8800GT and 9800GT and a quite a few other Nvidia cards just got newer/higher model numbers.

The 58xx to the 68xx series was a pretty much a downgrade.

im not saying the 100% will be, but ive read, and heard speculation that the first generation of 7*** cards will be rebrands.

I can also imagine theyre going to do the old trick and strap 2 cards to one pcb and call it new.. well it kind of will be lol.

currently there isnt a need for more powerful cards, 590 or 6990 will blow anything out of the water, and i cant see games getting more demanding anytime soon... ad they all tend to be console ports, and we all know they dont need top end gear.
