I have 2 instances of nvvsvc.exe running in the task manager.
They are both of different sizes and start up every time I turn on the laptop.
If I end both apps, nothing seems to be effected.
Do I need both or even one of these nvidia apps running?

Same here . Moreover, both of those indicates the same file , nvvsvc.exe in system32 .
I think both of those are needed .
EDIT : In process explorer, one is being shown under the other ....
Have you all downloaded the nvidia driver from their site?
It seems like I started to notice the 2 nvvsvc after I tried to download the drivers from the nvidia site.
Unfortunately, I've had problems with the nvidia drivers from their site.
While it would run my system better, it would not recognize my hdtv display, and would not restart on its own without powering down manually and starting again.
So I uninstalled and installed the driver from the hp site.
I have constantly had this restarting problem ever since I downloaded the nvidia drivers from their site.
Nothing I do seems to fix this problem.
I've cleaned and tried to delete all files with nvidia in them, but inevitably, it seems like there are traces of the drivers from the nvidia site which causes problems
The only way I've been able to solve the restart problem is to a clean install.
Does anyone have any suggestions about not having to manually power down and on when restarting your computer?
