Been reading a few reviews on it, beats the 580 in pretty much all games and benchmarks.

Looks like its priced at around £440 in the UK so way out of my budget for now Need to get saving.

One thing about living on a tight budget... you fully appreciate what you have now.

I'll enjoy my 6950 till games force an update.

I'm sat happy with my 6950 still. Plays latest games maxed out, so can't see the need for something faster, unless multi monitor setups are needed :)

Specs are impressive, but unnecessary to most.

Agreed, going to stick with my 570 for a good while yet.

Still, that new AMD card is certainly impressive.
It also puts AMD as the King for a single GPU for the time being, which is a good thing.

Wonder when Nvidia will release a counter?

They'd better - the thought of going back to AMD and Cat drivers makes me feel a little

(personal experience preference, not a fanboi war invitation)

And hopefully it's not a rush job like the GTX470/480 was

lol, if their call includes promises of headache free drivers I'd reconsider

But judging by this and other scuttlebutt, it won't be soon enough - I'll be sticking with the lesser of two evils for a while yet

(although I did rage buy a 1GB 6950 DCII recently to finish of my 1366 rig when I tried to return a faulty GTX570 and the shop refused to take it back. Aside from the fact it was 2nd hand sold as new and smelt burnt from the get go, they wanted 'proof' The real annoying part is that I haven't been able to replicate the issues, so the 6950 is sitting there as a back up for when the 570 does completely kark it. I actually felt a little dirty buying it :) )
