Windows Aero Animation Gone Into Slow Motion!

    Hi there,

I am new here so I really hope this is OK. I recently built my first PC and had it running fine for about 2 days until suddenly the windows aero animations have gone into slow motion! I have no idea what it is or how to fix it please could you help?

    Thank You
    Thomas

    Hello, Thomas

Try to upgrade your video drivers from the manufacturer site of the card.

You can try this also: (Open CMD.exe as Administrator) and type (net stop uxsms) wait for it the aero will be disabled now, than type (net start uxsms) see if it helps or not.

    Sort of worked :/

    Hi

Thanks for your quick reply. That second option sort of worked in that when aero was turned off slow motion was gone but my computer games still played in slow motion. Also I had the latest drivers so that didn't fix it.

    Thanks

Ok on your keyboard press (windows key) + R type dxdiag

And go to the lasted tab and click save report like on the picture (sorry it's in dutch) but you can see it

And post the .txt file here :)

You can also try a stability test: http://www.geeks3d.com/20110628/furm...s-card-opengl/
