Windows 7 - Intel HD Graphics 2000 vs AMD 5450HD |

Intel HD Graphics 2000 vs AMD 5450HD I bought a new computer that came with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 2000.
On Windows 7, the Intel scores 5.1 for Graphic (Aero) and 5.6 for Graphic (games).
My 5450HD scores 3.9 and 5.8 for the same. I don't understand why it gets so low on Aero. It has the latest drivers.
What one would you use?
I also have a Gigabyte 6850HD but it consumes too much power for my 300W power supply. | My System Specs

Do the things you normally do with a PC and see if you can tell the difference--particularly anything that stresses the video.
I also use HD 2000 and have no need to use a separate video card.
Using a card will use more power and generate more heat. If I could not tell the difference between a 5450 and HD 2000, I would use the latter for that reason alone.
I have read elsewhere that HD 2000 provides performance about equal to a 5450, for whatever that is worth. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

Why don't you personally test HD 2000 versus 5450 and find out?
No one else is in a better position than you are to investigate performance variables on your own PC. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

over clock it thats what i did to my 5450 and my score is 4.6 now and stays 44c idle and goes to 55c on load highest ive seen it go was 66c underload when i played crysis 2 on it usualy in 50s range when like playing games
anyways i overclocked it with CCC overdrive tool be carefull though if you dont know how or worried you might mess up the card then stay away from that i say test the other card also only benefit really is 5450 has dx11 support not sure about the other card since ive never owned a intel vid card | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number me OS Win 7 premium 64bit/Win Pro XP 32bit /Ubuntu 12.04 CPU AMD Athlon II X4 640 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.1GHz|(O.C)3.4GHz Motherboard M5A78L-MLX Plus Memory 4096MB RAM DDR3 Graphics Card XFX HD 6870 1GB Sound Card Logitech Speakers (VIA High Definition Audio) Monitor(s) Displays 21inch monitor vga Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Keyboard Microsoft USB Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 (IntelliType Pro) Mouse HP 1000dpi desktop mouse PSU CORSAIR CX600 600w Case AZZA Orion 202 EVO Cooling 4fans and cool master hyper TX3 cpu cooler Hard Drives 500gb hdd 7200rpm Western Digital Internet Speed 5.6mb down/ 0.55up yeah dsl i know it sucks Other Info just a dude who loves tech |

How much memory does you Radeon HD 5450 have?
What type of memory does it have, DDR2 or DDR 3?
How many bits is it, 32 bit, 64 bit?
The Radeon HD 5450 that you have is a budget card and your new computer has DDR 3 ram which is probably alot better then the Radeon HD 5450 budget you have. The 6850 will do better but first get yourself a better power supply. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home build OS Windows 7 Pro x64 CPU AMD FX 4100 4 Core 3.6GHz AM3+ Motherboard ASROCK 970 Extreme3 Memory 16GB G.Skill RipjawsX Graphics Card Radeon 6850 Sound Card ASUS Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays ASUS 23" LCD PSU 700W Case Antec 100 Cooling Hyper 212 Plus Hard Drives SSD 120GB

I am mystified why it doesn't get better than the 3.9 on WEI Aero. | My System Specs
