A converter box will run about $100-$200

......So the 8500 might be the best option......It's better than the Intel graphic's, but it won't do much better on modern games....

much better on modern games

i use a xbox360 for most of my gaming
these Intel graphic's kind of suck lots of glitches when i got a media play open in the background it pops lil glimpse of the player into my browser and ect.
also the flash player on YouTube shows glimpse of my desktop

used and also the Ebay factor

kind of like to not use ebay for some reason don't know why but if it's the only result guess i got 2 for the 1st time plus it will be a few months before i even get it so there might be another that pops up
i gotta get a 2tb hdd,better monitor and a xbox 360 slim then the gpu but 1st the xbox gotta get sum gaming in cant wait lol

nah the xbox 360 is its $200 and the 2tb hdd is only $150 at max the monitor is $139

The first drive you listed is a external drive, it can be easily moved to a different computer, simple setup....just plug in the USB cable and go....The main drawback is access to large files will be slow

The second drive is a SATA internal drive...it's a bare drive/that usually means no cables, no screws, and sometimes it will require a format before use....It mounts inside the case, and you will need a open SATA port from the motherboard, and a SATA power plug from your power supply....Access to large files is faster, but moving the drive to a different computer is more difficult

Not really....however a external can possibly be damaged if dropped....but otherwise the life span is about the same....Which to get really depends on your needs

I can agree I have a WD my book 500GB from 2006 it has been going strong USB 2.0 e-Sata

Never had any issues and almost as fast as a fixed HHD

im not to worried about messing up the gpu nor the 360 mobo as they are just sitting around collecting dust & i need somewhere to begin learning + ill practice removing the caps that i cant use for the gpu but the ? still remains can i do that?

Also not all caps are the same Capacitor

FZ81 1600 6.3v

& the ones on my 360 mobo have

A 581 820 4 v

FZ81 1600 6.3v is a 1600uf at 6.3v which is not an easy value to find, you may have better luck with a 2200uf 6.3v or 10v as long as the part will fit. You can always go up in capacitance by a preferred value but never down, the same applies to voltage. You will need some solder wick to clean out the holes so you can install the new part.

Over the years I have recapped many power supplies in monitors, TV's and motherboards. It can be done. Sometimes the caps blow as they are underrated. The maximum working temperature and or voltage can be exceeded in a hot case or when gaming. With a failure like this the parts are cheap and the job is fairly easy. Replace the part, you have nothing to lose and your GPU back in good working order to gain.
