gpu capsule may have exploded can i con. without ECT

my GPU may have exploded a capsule on it i heard a load pop noise but couldn't figure out where it came from
so i uninstalled my video card due to my pc having glitches while not in safe mode
now i am able to boot normally into windows xp maybe even windows 7
but how long can my mobo and cpu support its Graphics without the gpu installed
and is there a way to fix my gpu exploded capsule without buying another
R would it matter that i didn't even fix it R replace it
and what could have caused a capsule to explode on my gpu

i dont plan on playing any pc games since i have my xbox 360 back after its reball and fan mod
temps are low game play seems to be fine up intill a lil. lag in batman AC
but that might be a game glitch i hope
you se where its circled thats the kind of capsule that is opened now
should i reinstall it R will it be fine without it
and can i goahead and install windows 7

The Intel graphics will/work as long as the motherboard does, but it is Intel graphic's so don't expect much.....

If you know someone who is good with a soldering iron, the capacitor can be replaced, but again no assurance that it will work

Can't see clearly enough but it does not look like any capacitors are blown on the card. The capaciotr that you have circled in the picture is a high grade capacitor and I would expect one of the cheaper black and brown ones to go before that silver/blue one. You may want to check out your MB and make sure there are no leaking or bulging caps there. The other possiblity is that a card was not seated correctly and there was an electrical arch which can also sound like a pop. Then you have mosfetts, diodes or resistors that may have gone but from the pic I can't see any problems there.

lol thats not mine that's just a pic to give a demo
ok well i installed win7 again after using it i cant go back to xp lol
The Intel graphics will/work as long as the motherboard does
so what may have caused that to explode on the gpu i dont wont my psu R even the mobo to give out next
but it is Intel graphic's so don't expect much.....
i dont and i dont plan on gaming with it since i got my xbox 360 back in tip top shape with a fan mod reballed cpu and a new gpu with new heat sinks
If you know someone who is good with a soldering iron, the capacitor can be replaced, but again no assurance that it will work
ill just get a new one
theres a few in this post https://www.sevenforums.com/1719838-post43.html

Capacitors can explode...if you look on the top of them....notice the score marks on top....that's so they can vent instead of go bang

If one goes bang not a lot you could/can do to prevent that.....It's just one of the risks, bulging tops/leakage is always a bad sign, but outside of that not much way you can predict if one is about to fail.....

If you don't plan on gaming on the pc I wouldn't even worry about a card:).....but if your going to get a card anyway if you tell me your budget and the brand and wattage of your PSU I can make a suggestion....

Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card that's a 6870 for $159.99......Going up a notch is about $40 over your max budget....It needs a 500 watt power supply with 2 six pin connectors, if your supply falls short look at this Newegg.com - Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W Continuous @40°C, 80 PLUS Certified, Single 12V Rail, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7,i5" Power Supply.... I have this power supply in my rig, and it has given me no problems.

Now if you just gotta have Nvdia a 560 is almost all the budget Newegg.com - PNY VCGGTX560XPB GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card It needs 450 watts and 2 six pin connectors

I've never had any luck with Intel graphics, but I've seen people come on here a swear that GTA San Andreas runs on their Intel laptop.....Now that game will instal and "run" on my laptop, but I don't consider it playable.....

Try this site Can You RUN It | Can I run that game | Game system requirements
Let it do it's thing and it will tell you if you can run it or not:)
