Anyone having trouble with the new AMD drivers I have a Gigabyte 6950 which ran exceptionally well with the 11.11 drivers. After installing the 11.12 drivers I have some problems with the graphics not showing right in places and the screen jerking in certain games. Battlefield 3 when in the helicopter the screen was like showing every 3rd frame. So, I installed the 12.1 drivers and it was worse. I'm considering going back to 11.11. I am just curious if anyone else was having a similar problem. And, yes I used driver sweeper in safe mode before installing new drivers. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew - Always under construction OS Windows 7 X64 Professional/Windows 8 CPU intel i7-2600K Motherboard Asus P8Z68 V-Pro/GEN 3 Memory 8GB G.Skill Sniper DDR3-2133 (2X4GB) Graphics Card EVGA 670 2GB Sound Card Asus Xonar Monitor(s) Displays Asus 24" LCD VW246H Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Logitech G500/Logitech Wireless PSU CORSAIR HX850W Case Cooler Master HAF X Cooling Corsair H100 w/ 4 noctua fans in push/pull. No problems here with the 12.1 Preview on my 6850. Had the 11.11b on before that and no problems with it either. Can't say about the 11.12 as I never installed them.
Quick question, have you been installing the CAP's as well? If so the old should be uninstalled before installing the new CAP or driver. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Me OS Win 7 Ultimate x64 CPU Phenom II x4 955 @ 4 GHz. Well, I guess I'll show my ignorance. I don't know what caps are, so I guess I didn't install them, just the catalyst package, the first one listed. I also noticed my card ran about 4° warmer than usual. I ran driver sweeper in safe mode, then ran the ccleaner registry cleaner and uninstalled everything AMD or display. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew - Always under construction OS Windows 7 X64 Professional/Windows 8 CPU intel i7-2600K Motherboard Asus P8Z68 V-Pro/GEN 3 Memory 8GB G.Skill Sniper DDR3-2133 (2X4GB) Graphics Card EVGA 670 2GB Sound Card Asus Xonar Monitor(s) Displays Asus 24" LCD VW246H Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Logitech G500/Logitech Wireless PSU CORSAIR HX850W Case Cooler Master HAF X Cooling Corsair H100 w/ 4 noctua fans in push/pull. Did you do anything when yoy booted into safe mode? I did the same but the issues remain. 99% of the time it is fine, just occasionally, the problems appear, always in games though one old game COD4 and one new, BF3. Even then it is only certain scenes. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew - Always under construction OS Windows 7 X64 Professional/Windows 8 CPU intel i7-2600K Motherboard Asus P8Z68 V-Pro/GEN 3 Memory 8GB G.Skill Sniper DDR3-2133 (2X4GB) Graphics Card EVGA 670 2GB Sound Card Asus Xonar Monitor(s) Displays Asus 24" LCD VW246H Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Logitech G500/Logitech Wireless PSU CORSAIR HX850W Case Cooler Master HAF X Cooling Corsair H100 w/ 4 noctua fans in push/pull. It was a 1080p vs 1080i issue and lag in my video playback and mouse movement.
I booted into the Safe Mode as a last resort. Somehow I lucked out.
I hope you get yours sorted. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-built OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit CPU Intel Core i7-3770 Motherboard Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3 Memory G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT Graphics Card Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6670 Sound Card Realtek ALC892 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD, Dell 1703FPT Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Deluxe 250 Mouse Logitech MX518 PSU SeaSonic M12II SS-500GM Case Lian Li PC-9F Cooling Zalman CNPS9900LED Hard Drives Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ Internet Speed 8 Mbps Anyone having trouble with the new AMD drivers problems?
