Monitor issues; acer input not recgoginsed. plz help!!

    hi
i recently upgraded my parents old machine to windows 7. the model is an ACER aspire t300. now the issues arose when i found that most of the drivers for this platform are XP compatible only! this wasn't much of an issue until i started the install. the monitor cut out and displayed input not supported. the monitor is an ACER x223hq. it also is stuck on 800x600 res. I've tried every thing form installing new drivers to searching for alternatives with no success.

thnx in advance for any help

Have you tried installing the XP drivers in compatibility mode?

Right click the installer>properties>compatibility> choose XP-SP3

    Good luck

There may not be a solution. Have you contacted the mfr?

There are no Windows 7 drivers for it and Acer will not be making any so you are unfortunately out of luck.
