Can a PC run at 240HZ? I have recently acquired a 3D sony PS3 monitor model CECH-ZED1U. This monitor can do 240HZ. Can my computer run at 240HZ? I can't seem to increse the refresh rate past 60HZ. Mouse movements and media video look slower too, does that have to do with the refresh rate as well?

I read your blog, My problem is, when I plug this T.V into my PC via HDMI I notice that there is a slight jigger or lag in videos, games, and windows systems, like the mouse, all feel slow. My older LCD Monitor can preform better and it's limited only to 60HZ. Speaking of Hz. My Nvidia panel says that refresh rate is 60HZ and it will not go higher to 240Hz or even 120HZ. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU intel quad core 2 Motherboard strikerforce II formula Graphics Card SLI Nvidia Geforce 450 GTS Sound Card onboard Monitor(s) Displays sony 3D display CECH-ZED1U Screen Resolution 1080P |

Where are you being told that the device can handle a refresh rate of 240Hz?
I'm pretty sure HDMi limitations make this an impossibility, even if there were graphic accelerators to match... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built machine OS W7 x64 CPU Intel Q9300 2.5Ghz Quad LGA775 (Would like Q9650) Motherboard Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3R (F6 Bios) Memory 4Gb OCZ Gold 1,333Mhz Graphics Card Palit HD4850 O/C Sonic 512Mb DDR3, Dual DViD's Sound Card Azalia to twin Samson 50w Studio Monitors Monitor(s) Displays Twin Dell (E-IPS) U2311H 23.6" Screens Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz Keyboard Cherry PS/2 custom model Mouse Logitech M500 Laser Mouse PSU OCZ 600w Case Lian-Li PC8 acoustifoamed' aluminium tower Cooling Scythe 140mm Zipang Hard Drives Twin 1Tb Barracuda archivage, Twin TV/PVR 2Tb Samsungs, (80Gb Barracuda for the OS, but SSD envisaged...) I am pretty sure that that monitor does 240hz internally, it doesn't accept a 240hz signal. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HAL-9000 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit CPU Intel i7 2600K @ 4.44Ghz Motherboard Asus P8P67 Pro Rev 3.1 Memory 16GB DDR3 1333 Corsair XMS3 Graphics Card XFX HD5850 1GB EyeFinity Sound Card Logitech G35 & Sennheiser PC135 & VIA HD Monitor(s) Displays 23" HP 2310e, 23" Samsung B2230, 21.5" Viewsonic Screen Resolution 5760x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 and G13 Mouse Logitech G700 Gaming Mouse PSU Antec True Power New 650watt Case Cooler Master HAF-932 Cooling Corsair H60 Hydro Cooler, 3x 230mm Fans, 2x120mm Fan Hard Drives 16TB of Storage
