A KVM switch connects two VGA cables to two monitors on one side of itself, whilst on the primary side of the switch it has a single VGA cable fed from a graphics card... so at the flick of the switch you can select VGA to your screen, or VGA to your TV...

There are a selection on Canada's Amazon website...

Huh, that sounds like exactly what I need. Do you have a recommendation, or is a switch a switch, basically?

Can't really recommend as I've been off VGA for years, and the products in Canada will not match those I could necessarily obtain here in the UK... however you must remember you may require a switch which incorporates audio switching too... not only Amazon offer them, so will eBay, and if you have Tandy, Radiospares, Radioshack, RS Components, etc, etc, in your locale then you may be able to buy over the counter...

No, if the audio outputs through my headphones, I am okay with that. I just need the video. I'm hitting up a plaza with a Source (they bought Radio Shack and changed them to that) tomorrow so I may have to look into it and see what they have. Thanks.

Somebody else had this problem recently it turned out he had the HDMI plugged into his onboard graphics instead of his PCI-e card, your not making this mistake as well?

I don't think so, there's an HDMI port on the back of the computer. Unfortunately that is all I know, I am not good enough to open it up and tinker with it. All I know is HDMI port on back of computer = HDMI plug in. lol.

It looks like I have a DVI port above my HDMI port, if I got a DVI-to-HDMI adapter would that work the way I want it to?

Please post a photograph of the rear of your PC because none of this is making sense and you haven't listed your motherboard in your system specifications - if you are making a mistake and the HDMI port is a motherboard based one then just whip out the graphics card, and attempt making it work afresh.

I don't know what my motherboard is... lol. sorry. I just use computers, I don't know the technical details.

Here's the back of my computer.

There's three used USB ports, an HDMI port, a DVI port, and what I think is a VGA. For whatever odd reason it does not work, there is another near the bottom that isn't pictured that does work.
