Gap around the screen and monitor frame

Have just installed an SSD and now my monitor a Benq GL2440 has a 1.5cm gap between the LCD and the black plastic surround.

Have tried setting the monitors controls display in Cont Pan and Googled it but cannot get it right.

Anyone got any ideas please?

what is your power supply? Is the SSD in addition to your existing spinner?

Hello John,

What type of connection (ex: HDMI, Display Port, DVI, etc...) are you using from the graphics card to monitor?

As a test, you might try a different type of connection to see if that may be the issue.

Hiyya Shawn it's the HDMI and no Lemur the SSD is the only one running atthe moment. I have a Corsair HX 650 PSU so I don't think it's a power issue.

I have got the screen out to the edge but only if I change the res to 1600x700 instead of the recommended 1920x1080. But then I lose the minimise / max / close at the top right so I am using the full resolution, will just have to put up with it.

Why it won't run from the mobo is a mystery though perhaps the card is blocking it?

If it's a black border around the picture, the display is being underscanned.
Go to the AMD CCC Scaling Options and move the slider to Overscan.
