Black screen on booting windows 7

    Hello,

During the last days I'm having problems with starting my windows laptop.
After I tried to install the latest nvidia drivers (I needed CUDA) my pc rebooted and got a black screen.
Everytime I start my laptop in normal-mode I first see the bios, then the "windows 7 is starting" and then there should be the log-in screen, but that is a black screen. I do hear the log-in sound.
When I try to boot into safe-mode everything is fine.
This would obviously be a driver problem, but I do not know how to solve this.

    Drivers I tried:
    From nvidia site:
    Newest beta for GT 130M
    Newest stable for GT 130M
Latest driver on acer site for 7738G (windows 7)
Latest driver on acer site for 7738G (windows vista)

    None of these work.
Sadly I don't know which drivers I had installed previously.
Can anybody help me with this problem?

    Thank you in advantage,

    Hello and welcome to Sevenforums!

Do you maybe have Win7 or BIOS to switch off the laptop display, and output to an external monitor? Have you tried connecting an external monitor when this happens? or performing the FN key combination to switch monitors?

Hotkeys And Key Combinations On Aspire One Netbooks

Fn + F5 - Display toggle Switches display output between the display screen, external monitor (if connected) and both.
Fn + F6 - Screen blank Switches off the display backlight. Press any key to enable the backlight again.

Also have you performed a Driver Sweeper before installing/reinstalling the drivers?

    I have solved the problem!
    Thank you for your response.
For other people that may have the same problem:
I solved it by installing the latest drivers from acer.com
I installed the Vistax64 on my windows 7.
Then I turned off powermizer with this program: "http://somemorebytes.com/wp/index.php/software/nvpmmanager/"

    And that solved my problem!
