Whats approximately equivalent to the Radeon 6970

Hey all, I am looking to get a new Graphics Card. I was thinking about the Radeon 6970 but realize that my case will not fit the card itself (its 11.61" long), the case could most likely fit a card that is about 10.5" long give or take about 0.5". I heard that the GTX 570 was approximately equivalent, anyone know if this is true? If you can think of something better that would also be good please suggest. I am not looking to really spend anymore than about $340. Thanks.

It is and dimension and price point wise, it's really your only alternative.

There's not a huge performance difference between the 570 and 6970.
