    Not sure of this GPU

I have this Asus extreme AX850 I pulled out of an XP recycle and want to put it in my latest "Franky"

But am not sure of the connections of the internal sockets.

Now I have got the manual and I am pretty sure that the black one is a power socket but six pins has got me wondering as the mobo plug has four pins, and the yellow one I think is audio (not really bothered).

I want the card just for the DVI output. Any help or knowledge of this device would be appreciated.

Plus could someone tell me why the card pin configuration is so different to others I have - see pic.

The yellow one looks like a 4-pin power connector. Same as the ones for a floppy disk drive. Your PSU probably has one of these already. Could also be an audio out. The black one could be the power, they make 4-pin to 6-pin adapters.

Thanks Comp Cmndo I was just thrown by that six pack socket as there are no Googles to say what "pins" should be what.

So what is the go with the pin configs of the other cards just older types perhaps or just the mobo brand - can't remember what it came out of only that it was obviously a gamer for recycling??

Hum CC just found this and explains some of what I was trying to find out.

If your psu dont have 6 pin power connector you need to buy adapter
for exapmle like this 2 molex (old HDD/cd power connectors) converts to one 6 pin vga power connector.

Don't think I would want to be plugging a floppy power connector in that yellow connector. According to here,

    Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition

it is a composite video-in connector.
