New Graphics card causes black outline around screen

I just installed my new 7950, and upon installing the drivers then rebooting back to windows I found that although my screen resolution is listed at 1080p, either my screen or my graphics card isnt doing this properly because I have a black outline, about 2cm thick, all around my screen where the screen isnt displaying anything. Any suggestions? On the nvidia control panel I could stretch/move the screen size to my likings, is this possible with catalyst?

    Thanks

Ok First off I think you are Using a ATI Radeon card

Also if you installed Nvidia drivers on a ATI device GOD help you it even came on

Can you please do us all a favor and post screen shots of the card box and write down what drivers you installed

This would really help because the way i am reading this you are using a ATI card but you installed Nvidia drivers

7000 series card from Nvidia is Dinasour now

Ha ha, I was referring to the nvidia drivers on my old geforce 210 :P, I am currently using the ATI catalyst drivers from the disk, I am gonna check for new ones after school, but I figure the drivers cant be that old considering how new the card is, but yes, there may well have been updates since my card was shipped including bugfixes and such.

Ok yet again Im asking what does anything Nvidia have to do with this current gpu issue if you are not using the Geforce 210 ?

Did you have this issue with that card as well it is hard to understand where you are comming from with this

If you are using a ATI card go to there site update the drivers

What I was saying is with the old Nvidia drivers I used to use, it had an option for you to drag the displayed image to the edge of the screen (like, manually resize) if exactly what is happening to me now happened, I was asking if anyone knew of a similar function on the ATI drivers.

Look for the "GPU Scaling" setting in CCC and move the slider until it fits. I had to do that with my main monitor. :)
