Windows 7: Recent problems with running games - Intel GMA X3100

Okay so recently (around 1-2 weeks ago) for some unknown reason i noticed a massive FPS drop when playing games like Minecraft or TF2, and eventually became unplayable.
At first i thought it might be my CPU as i was spiking a little, turns out my CPU is fine.



I was searching the web and found a problem people has with this card and windows 7, i checked my card and i was getting the same problem, the drivers intel provided were showing my card as "64MB available Video RAM" when it should be running at 359MB.
The fix they provided was to install the old vista drivers, it has now returned to it's original 359MB Video ram, but i'm still getting performance issues.

Normally i could play minecraft around 15-40 FPS, reasonably playable
And Team fortress 2 around 20-60 FPS.
But now i'm getting around 0-15 FPS on both games on the lowest specs.

I've reinstalled my OS recently and still shown no changes in FPS in both drivers (Windows 7 and vista).

Not too sure what the cause is now, could be a harddrive problem?
