    Can my old card help?

I just recently upgraded my system with a new motherboard, and can finally support 2 pcie cards. So now I am running with the GT430 I got with my computer, and my gtx 550ti that i replaced that one with.
I thought there is no longer any need for the old half gig 8400 gs pci card that I had been using as a second. I was about to remove it, when i remembered talk about using an old card only for physx, to help out the better card/s.
Would this actually help me out any more? is there anything else I can do with it, or should I just remove the card and help airflow in the case.

I ask about this one first, as I know that only nvidia cards can be used for physx, but I also have a radeon hd 5450 sitting around, and a 3rd pcie slot not in use, but I'm not sure if it can actually help.

The Graphics cards must be the same. You cannot mix and match cards. I wish it was like that, but you have to have the same model cards.

You don't need that slow 8400GS.

For what he is asking to do, yes you can. The cards only have to match if you want to run SLI or Crossfire.

This. Not only is the 8400 GS far too slow to be of any benefit, Physx doesn't work with it anyway.

Only if you want to use more than 2 monitors. Other than that, no.
