Dual screen, unable to full screen on second monitor

Hi welcome to Seven Forums :)

I am not sure what you are trying to do, the primary monitor (usually the largest) is for gaming and the secondary is for extras.

You say you want to play games full screen on your secondary monitor? Why not reverse the screens so the larger monitor is primary and the secondary is the smaller. Then your games and movies will still be running fine on the large monitor and your web browser, explorer, email ect. is on the smaller monitor.

"I dont want to have an Taskbar below the game, so thats why i need it on the Second Monitor." If the game is full screen the taskbar shouldn't be showing or if you still want to have the screen in a window, use the 'Auto-hide the taskbar' option so it disappears when not in use.

N.B - I have 2 different screens with the same resolutions as yours, using the 560ti and it works fine.

Well i mostly play games in windowed mode so i can adjust things like next song or mute a player on ventrilo.
So that i dont need to alt Tab the game so i can also keep watching the game.

as in the autohide option of the taskbar.
its kinda annoying to have it pop up if you move over it by accident.

I find it a bit of an eyesore to see the Taskbar at the bottom of the game.
Is it possible to Switch the Taskbar to the other monitor?
So to let it show only on the secondary and not the primary?

i can live with it but it would be nice if it was possible.

if I have the 19 inch on primary,
every game i run on windowed mode on the 25 inch monitor keeps the size of 19 inch, cant make it bigger.

i got the same issue with my backgrounds,
when i use the 25 inch as primary, the background image on the 19 inch keeps the size of the 25 inch so basicly the image gets cut off

the red line is the breaking line between my monitors.
the red block is doesnt excist(cant see that on my monitor)

as you can see the background image on monitor 2 has the same size as on monitor 1
but it should go fullscreen aswell.

Guild Wars is opend on monitor 2 in windowed mode. its imposible to make the window bigger to the size of 25 inch.

Both stay the same size as monitor 1 wich is 19 inch.

I think it's because games always follow the primary monitor size same with the background image because that's the original size of the pic.

you can get both monitors to work at the same time but to fill the screen you need to use Nvidia to scale the other monitor to the right size

It should be in your Forceware settings you need to scale the other monitor to the right size because sometimes it won't just pick it up especially if it already knows you have a lower resolution available


Go into your installed Nvidia drivers and look for your scaling option for i do not use Forceware i use CCC but maybe someone will come along that uses Forceware and tell you have to use the scale function

If you can find a 3rd party software that is MS approved, there are ones out there that will put a taskbar and start button on both monitors.

I play DDO and EQ2 and play fullscreen borderless and have all of my browsers in the second monitor when I play the games and just drag them back when Im not playing. But then, my monitors are set where the main is directly in front of me and the secondary is at a 30 degree angle to the right. (small desk)

I use one of those 3rd party softwares that has both f2u and p2u (free to use and pay to use) versions and on the free version, it allows a different background for each monitor, taksbar and start button on each, a window add on that allows you to pass the window from one side to the other like aero snap. It's called display fusion but #1 READ UP ON IT before you use it, #2 check to see if it's MS approved. I've only used it for a couple of weeks. Only downside so far is that is GREATLY slows startup.
