Windows 7 Stuck in 640x480

I just finished dual booting XP and Windows 7. XP works just fine.

But windows seven is stuck in 640x480 resolution. It is supposed to be 1024x784 I believe.

Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor says: Your current graphics adapter won't support the Windows Aero user interface. Contact your PC manufacturer or retailer to see if an upgrade is possible.

My computers stats are:
Intel [R]
Pentium [R] 4 CPU 2.80 GHz
2.79 GHz, 1.25 GB of RAM

Under DirectX Diagnostics Direct 3D and Direct Draw are listed as unavailable.

Is there any way around it?

If I need a new graphics card can someone give me a good one that works great and is relatively cheap.

Hmm... you report a problem wih your video, you list some specs, but you leave out the most important one. Which video card?

If you will provide your Dell service tag, we can identify exactly what your options are.

Dell dimension 3000 you can get drivers for it here Drivers & Downloads

video here http://support.dell.com/support/down...&fileid=137459

Edit dell only has drivers for XP they do not list vista or win 7 but you can go to Intel and download the 925 video driver from them. It should have picked that up on install

I don't think the problem is with the drivers. Because on XP they say they are up to date and the same on Windows 7.

This seems to me to be an obvious driver problem .. Not trying to be rude, but why ask for help at all if you're not willing to try when it is given to you??

There's a turnip in here somewhere..
