Why have you created two threads for the same problem?

It just confuses people who are trying to help.

It'll be better to delete the other thread you started: http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ml#post1840791

Are you over-clocking your system?

Is the graphics card seated correctly.

Have you checked that there isn't a build-up of dust on the motherboard?

Is the problem any better if you run the system with the side panels off?

it does not make a difference if the side panels are on or off. the built in fan seems to be working correctly, i have not found anything wrong with it.

It's possible that a heat sink clip has broken and allowing a gap between the GPU and heatsink. You can try to fix that if that is what's wrong....or just replace the card

If the fan is working and the Heatsink is clean, and its still overheating even with extra cooling then something is way wrong with the card. If its still under warranty, return it, if its not I would consider replacing it. An overheat event can damage the card and lead to more overheat events. You can get into a condition known as thermal runaway. How long have you had this card?
