ACER HDMI doesnt connect to TV after changing from Vista to 7

Hi all,

Hoping some one can help me with this. I own the ACER AS3810T laptop and it has one HDMI output. When I connect to my LG 42" LCD TV using HDMI, the screen goes blank and TV says no signal and i have to force shut down in order for the laptop to work again. When I connect to the TV and start the tablet, I can see starting Windows on both screens. Seems once Windows is loaded, I get no signal on the TV from the tablet.

It was working perfectly before i switced from Vista to 7.

The graphics card is an Intel GMA 4500MHD.

In there anything i can do to fix this.

Thank you all for any kind of help.

Does it actually say "no signal" on the tv once the splash screen loads?

Also, you need to setup the tv in the Intel HD Graphics console. Click on Intel HD Graphics>Graphics Prperties>Display>Multiple Displays>Operating Mode>Clone Displays.

Perhaps you should put the HDMI Cable before (all powered off, TV & Laptop), then power on the TV, switch to external HDMI channel, then power on the laptop...

Hey James i am glad to be here. Yea "no signal" actually comes up when i put the plug in.
I went to Intel HD Graphics>Graphics Properties>Display Devices>Operating Mode and then there is only one selection "Single Display".
I also reinstalled drivers from ACER website but nothing changed.
Any other ideas?

@NoN
I 've tried it, it works when computer starts but when it is loading Windows the pc crashes and the TV shows "No signal" again.

Okay, you mentioned though, upon rebooting that you get the Windows Splash screen on both the tv and laptop. When that occurs, does the tv say no signal after it goes black?

Okay, from your search box on your task bar, type " TVWsetup.exe" and launch. This is the Intel TV Wizard. It SHOULD detect and setup your tv for you. Let us know.

You say you need to force shutdown is this because the laptop screen goes blank as well or is it freezing?

If it's because it goes blank then after connecting the HDMI cable and the screen goes blank try pressing FN+F5 to switch the display output back to the laptop, you can then proceed with configuring the TV output if you are trying this without the HDMI connected..
