WIN 7 / NVIDIA GeFroce GTS 250 Card - Error: Display Driver Stopped...

I continually get the following error: Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered. Display Driver Nvisdia Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 295.51 stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
I have discussed the issue with driver download with Nvidia Tech support, they said the newer 296 driver had issues and had me load the 295 beta version. (I received the same error on the 296 version). I do not get the message as often, but it still comes up while plaing games, liek WoW or CIV V.
I also have a message on my WIN 7 saying there is issues with my Nvidia Grpahics driver but when I go to the link it provides it states: "Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later."

I had issues before installing WIN 7 Professional, but the issue normally caused me to have to start the computer. But that was maybe once or twice month. This error is constant and makes playing the games extremely frustrating as the graphics are constantly going out of sync or restarting after going to a blank screen. Sometimes I can alt tab out and back and it correctes itself.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm not computer savy, but will provide info if provided the way to extract it.

Need a little more info on this issue:

1) When did you first start receiving this error. Did it just start happening after a driver update, or after new hardware/software was added?
2) When you changed the driver to the version Nvidia advised, what process did you use to install the new driver? Did you just install the driver over the existing one, or did you remove the other driver first?
