Unable to select 1440x900 resolution

I've got an HP 8530p, with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 graphics card. After installing Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit the default resolution is 1680x1050. I don't like this resolution, it's too high and gives me headaches trying to read the tiny print. Previously on Vista and XP with the exact same screen size I had the option of 1440x900 resolution which was perfect, but for some reason it is not an option with 7. There is no 16x9 resolution option until 1280x768, which is of course too small. I went to the ATI website and installed the beta Windows 7 64 bit driver to no avail, it didn't change a thing.

Even more annoying my secondary monitor, a 19" widescreen, has the option of 1440x900 but not 1680x1050.

Gah! Any ideas how to get a 1440x900 resolution, or why there is nothing available between 1280x768 and 1680x1050?

You can easily make the print larger and easier to read by going to "page" in IE and selecting largest text size. No need to change resolutions for that.

Also, most 19 inch monitors do not support 1680X1050, that resolution is usually reserved for at least a 22" monitor. You may be able to set up custom resolutions in the ATI control panel.
