    Nvidia Surround supported cards

I use a triple monitor setup, and depending on your goals with that setup, you'll need ALOT of video processing horsepower.

A single GT440 card supports a maximum of 2 monitors.

I believe that is true of all single-GPU nVidia cards prior to the GTX680.

AMD's "eyefinity" supports as many as 6 monitors off of a single card. (At least 4 of the outputs must use Display Port, though.) That's not a big selling point for me, but it's there.

True enough. My 6870 has the ability but really, why would anyone want to bother? Displayport doesn't seem to be taking off at all now that HDMI has bridged the gap.

Ok lol so that's one reason, but there's the cost of having to buy DP native monitors which some of us just can't do.

Buying native dp monitors isn't necessary at all. It can work with pretty much any configuration (I just happen to have dp monitors).

Maybe this will help you determine if it's attainable for you.

p.s. I'm not trying to start a fanboy thing at all here, instead just pointing out possibilities.
