So I bought a second 27 inch monitor today. I have a total of two samsung 27 inch monitors. So I've been googling this problem for hours before I came here to post.
The issue is a flickering in the bottom of the screen. It only happens when I watch movies. I thought it was just the player but I've tried different players etc.. vlc, gom player, winamp and so on. Same issue
From what I read disabling the amd overdrive has fixed it for lots of people. I have done that and it still flickers. I also updated to the newest
driver which is 12.3 and problem still occurs.
So I started messing around with the amd program too see if I can find a solution. I've tried enabling and disabling everything and nothing fixes it.
Now to the monitor. The monitor that was flickering was the old one and not the new one. When I switch monitors to primary it occurs on the new monitor instead of the old one so I can concur there is nothing wrong with the monitor.
(tested it in select preferred display so tried the first and second monitor so if I pick the first one it happens on second monitor and if I choose second one it happens on first monitor)
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
models are 27 inch samsung syncmaster s27b370 and 27 inch samsung syncmaster p2770
edit1: Okay so I tried everything. I tried switching the dvi cable and hdmi with both monitors, than I tried putting two hdmi cables and still same results.
I even uninstalled my graphic
drivers, and than finally reformatted.
I still get the flickering. The flickering is at the bottom of the screen and now it happens on both monitors.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
