Multiple display with DVI and HDMI not working

HI I'm looking to have multiple displays set up on my PC.

I have my Iiyama prolite connected via dvi and another TV via HDMI.

As soon as the HDMI is plugged in I lose the DVI display and it transfers to the HDMI. The DVI is no longer detected.

Does this mean if I want a second monitor I will have to set it up through VGA?

Any help would be really appreciated

Cheers

Jacka

yes since the HDMI and DVI are shared.

If I use an Hdmi and a Vga with extended screens, then use a splitter on each to TV. Will that work or will it conflict?
