no signal from pc to hdtv

I'd say yes, never had that happen to mine before. Curious to know if you have the same or a different wall plug in use with both your system and that TV, your electrical in the house could be causing issues especially with the sparks. In any case, to protect the system, I would not try connecting that HDTV to your system again (though I'm sure your common-sense tells you the same).

Yeah my pc is connected via a multiplug extender to the same wall plug. The TV is also connected to that plug via another multiplug ( there's another wall plug in the room but I cant acces it ).
