    Graphics card is not being read after windows re install


    Hi,

    my laptop is a Dell inspiron 1464 with an ati graphics card of 1GB
    the configuration goes like 3 gb ram 320 gb HDD 1 GB ati graphics card.
    After my windows crashed my graphics card is not being read. It says standard vg graphics card.
    If anyone have any solutions please do help me out

    have you installed the proper graphics driver for your machine? you should be able to obtain this from the dell website. Support.dell.com

    Yea I did try installing the graphic card drivers but I think one of them says m system is nit supported by this application
    Also it's drivers for my particuler model n I don't know how it's coming like that

    Try fully updating your pc via windows updates. It may install a proper driver.

    Hi Thomas. Welcome to Seven Forum

    If you done with the update. But still need the drivers, you can browse here Dell Inspiron Driver

    Choose from a list of all Dell products --> Click Continue --> choose Laptop --> choose Inspiron --> you will see Inspiron 1464 on the list --> click on it.
    Then you can choose the drivers according to yous Windows version.

    Hope that can provide you more options in solving the problem.
