    Should I / can I get HDMI?

    Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a new HP computer, you can check out my specs via the tab.

I have an NVIDIA GeForce 520GT GPU and 21.5" LED monitor.

So far the monitor came with VGA and DVI-D connectors, I just plugged in the DVI-D only, is that correct?

I was told I could get an HDMI/DVI adapter, would this be worth it and will my computer support it?

    Thanks!

Yes, use the DVI connection from the monitor to the DVI on graphics card. As for using the HDMI, you won't really be able to see any real difference between the two. If you have a HDMI connection on your card it's most likely a HDMI mini, and the connection on the monitor will be a HDMI standard. You would then have to find a cable with mini on one end and standard on the other, or use a standard to mini adapter for your card.

As mentioned, the difference wouldn't be noticeable.

Both DVI and HDMI are the 'same' digital signal. The only plus to HDMI is that it can carry sound. The video quality is the same.

In your situation, HDMI is not worth it. Stick with the DVI.
