Multiscreen display using a DMS59 to VGA

I have researched a DMS59 to VGA cable, and I was wondering why they have two VGA connectors and not one. Is it because they can do multiscreen display?

Please help me as I am confused...

Yea because some people want to hook up dual VGAs. You can use only one side though, don't matter. There are also DMS to Dual DVI connectors.
