Hi,
I have an MSI CX620 Laptop with the configuration,
Intel Core i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13 GHz,
3 GB DDR3 RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 Graphics - 1 GB (with Switchable Graphics).
MS Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.
My laptop recently came out of service where they had replaced the motherboard and the HDD. Ever since I got it back, my ATI graphics
drivers have not been responding. I have updated my GPU drivers several times with no real change. The system is stuck in 1024x768 resolution, which makes it hard to work on the laptop or play videos etc. This has also slowed down the system boot-up time considerably. Every time Windows loads, I get the error message saying, " No ATI
driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware." I made a system restore, system repair, fresh installation. Nothing seems to work. The ATI Catalyst center would not respond at all and my laptop is still stuck without any graphics unit functioning
I found a similar post on this forum which gave me options to solve the problem, which I followed. The options were to run CCleaner (Piriform) to remove any temporary files, fix registry errors and uninstall ATI drivers, and then DriveSweeper (Phyxion) to remove any files, drivers associated with ATI GPU. Reboot. Install ATI 5xxx driver. This improved the system boot-up time, plus I get the error from ATI Catalyst center saying "The features in the ATI Catalyst Control Center Basic View do not support the currently active graphics processor. To launch the Advanced View, click on the Advanced View button. Otherwise, click Exit to close this dialog", when I select Advanced View, nothing happens.
Please help me solve this problem. I am stuck and I have tried out almost all options that I could find online.
