Geforce 540M not being recognized anymore.
Hi, I have a laptop and I'm currently having issues which I have never encountered before. I've recently installed Diablo 3 and everything was playing great until I reopened my laptop and noticed that the gameplay did not detect my Geforce graphic card and only my Intel HD graphics.
I have tried many games and they have always turned on my Geforce graphics. However it has randomly gone missing now.
Nvida control panel won't open as it says "An NVIDIA graphics card was not detected in your system"
I do know a very good amount of computer knowledge, I have scanned for viruses/malware/spyware all in safe mode. Nothing came up.
System restored, yet graphic card is still missing.
All drivers on this laptop were up to date prior to this issue. (Also Reinstalled drivers, but the graphic card was not detected)
This laptop is not even a year old.
When I go to device manager and scan for any changes, I noticed that there is now a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark on "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" which used to say GeForce 540M graphics video adapter.
Specs:
i5-2410M
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
8GB RAM DDR3
GeForce 540M w/ Optimus Technology.
Does anyone know what happened to my graphic card??
