Possible to use motherboard as 3rd monitor?

I'm currently running dual monitors on my one graphics card. My motherboard has a HDMI port. Would it be possible to use that HDMI on my motherboard and get a 3rd monitor? I would like to hook it up to my TV just to watch video files off of my computer and maybe Blurays off my Bluray drive. Is this possible?

Maybe.

I've never done it, but I think that it's possible to enable the iGPU in your UEFI (BIOS) settings, and install the Intel graphics drivers. I don't think that the Lucid drivers would be necessary, but I'm not certain.

This assumes that a Z77 motherboard is similar to a Z68 one.

Let us know how it comes out.

Do you know where that option is? I looked through the motherboard options but couldn't find it.

It's listed on p. 3-26 of the manual (E7246): Advanced, System Agent Configuration, Graphics Configuration.

I'd be more optimistic about it actually being present if the screen shots of the UEFI included it.

Thanks! I'm going to try it out when I have more time. I'll post back with the results.

It worked! I had to install the Lucid drivers which Windows did for me automatically and had to install HD Audio drivers manually to get the sound on the TV to work. I used a program called Driver Reviver for the audio which found it for me. The only thing I couldn't figure out was the resolution was 1920x1080 on the TV but all the windows were bigger than could fit on the TV. Is there someway to fix this?
