Windows 7: Screen Resolution needs to be locked!

Hello guys, I guess you must feel Windows is so smart that it can figure out what monitor has been hooked up and it can adapt to the best resolution.

But this causes too much trouble to us. I need a solution to lock the solution to 1280x720 permanently. So no matter what model of HDTV or what DVI/HDMI cable, the system always stays at 1280x720.

Btw, I am using Nvidia ION, but this problem exists in all the windows 7 system.



I am not talking about disabling the display property in the control panel, in which way, user can't access to it, but the system still can auto adjust resolution.

I am talking about a permanent way to lock down the resolution.

Do you know any registry key or and INF driver, or maybe some software, tools that might help me?
