Windows 7: Is it necessary to remove older drivers

Check disc is still running, but at step 4/5 it says "windows replaced bad clusters in file 25867 of name \windows\system32\atiumd6a.cap."



Maybe the problem is solved?

That's probably why the errors were happening, see how it performs when you finished the chkdsk, try and install the drivers as well and see if it goes ahead with it, however, I'd still go ahead and format anyway, better safe than sorry eh?

Everything is working now, as soon as it booted after the check disc,
The drivers installed. The only thing that isn't working is catalyst control
Center, but that isn't my top priority because RIva tuner works better

And you can allways do a separate download of cc from their webpage when they reliece an update. Glad you got it sorted out.
